Using descriptive survey method and applying existing literature, questionnaires and interviews with experts in medical informatics area, this study attempted to assess the barriers and challenges in implementing el-lealth system in Iran. The elements of Ehealth are explained Based on existing literatures and the results of exploratory interviews with Ehealth experts and authorities in Iran. Accordingly, five hypotheses were designed. By distributing 25 questionnaires among an available sample of Iranian Ehealth experts, validity of the hypothesizes have been tested. At the end, as a result, some suggestions to health authorities and researches are offered.
