Abstract
One of the destructive leadership styles that is prevalent in organizations today is the arrogant leadership style.Given the harmfulness of this type of leadership and the negative consequences it brings, this research was conducted with the aim of identifying and analyzing the reasons and consequences of using the arrogant leadership style in government organizations. This research is applied in terms of purpose and in terms of data collection, it is classified as exploratory research. Also, this research is mixed and includes qualitative and quantitative methods and is designed based on the deductive-inductive philosophy. The statistical population of this study includes experts who were selected using purposive sampling method and based on the principle of theoretical adequacy. To collect information in the qualitative part, interviews were used, the validity and reliability of which were confirmed through content and theoretical validity, as well as intra-coder and inter-coder reliability methods. In the quantitative part, the data collection tool is a questionnaire, the validity and reliability of which were also confirmed using content validity and test-retest reliability. Qualitative data were analyzed using content analysis method and quantitative data were analyzed using fuzzy cognitive mapping method.
