Abstract
There are no any illustrations about how to choose strategic control tools based on environmental situations in the strategic management literature. The purpose of this study was to develop a new model to make links between strategic control tools and environmental scanning. The result of distributed questionnaires and data collected from managers works in Iranian Electronic Industries (IEI) shows that environmental munificence( availability of resources), environmental dynamism( amount of change and uncertainty), and environmental complexity were the most important variables which influence on strategic control in defense industrial companies. According to suggested model in turbulence environments managers will choose the strategic leap control tools including things such as strategic issue management system, and strategic analysis system. However in the stable environments managers may choose strategic momentum control including responsibility center management, critical success factors control, and general strategies management.
