Abstract
Many senior government managers are victims of managerial traps and, without being aware of them, are unable to correct their managerial behavior. Therefore, the present study was conducted with the aim of designing a model for the emergence of managerial traps in the administrative system. The present study is an exploratory research in terms of its applied purpose in terms of information collection. Also, this research is a mixed qualitative and quantitative research based on the inductive deductive philosophy. The statistical population of the expert research includes senior and middle managers of government organizations and university professors who were selected using purposive sampling and based on the principle of theoretical adequacy. The data collection tool in the qualitative part is an interview, the validity and reliability of which was confirmed using content validity and theoretical validity and the method of intra-coder and inter-coder reliability measurement. The results of the research are presented in the form of a model of the emergence of management traps in the administrative system in four axes: the contexts for the formation of management traps, types of management traps, factors reinforcing management traps, and the consequences of the formation of this phenomenon
